The product is well made, but the instructions are useless. Step 2(g) refers to and adapter illustration that does not exist..

Just Received yesterday, looked it over and realized they shipped the large pin adapter, no problem just turned a new pin on the lathe. Now I'm set up for both large and small pins. I did two trigger jobs this morning in short order, after doing the first job I basically dialed it up and got exact results on the second job. No Problem getting a crisp trigger pull under 3#'s on AR Platform.

The worst thing is that the instructions look they were writen by a third grader. I got an adaper for a 1911 and the indexing marks on the tool do not match up with the instructions. I emailed the company requesting the correct instructions for the unit I purchased and have never heard back from them.

Well made strong industrail grade fixture however, its up to the user to figure out how to use it The supplied piece of paper passed off as a user guide/ instruction set is useless. For better all round general usability get the series one and forget this one unless you intend to us it for hanmer hooks (its best use). A 90 degree precison marked grid extending beyond the hammer work would be a nice enc if only a few degres of + /- reference wer ever used. It appears you have to establish the original factory plane of reference to start from. Very hard on small surfaces and very trial and error.

I gave it 3 stars, because it halfway rocks, and is halfway horrible. Directions are terrible. You need specific stones to use it. However, once you have it right, it's the bomb. I asked Power Custom for assistance, and they were all over it. They were even willing to set it up for me! Honestly, this thing is beast. Just know you're going to have to be EXTREMELY patient in setting it up, and again, you have to get the stones, other than that I love it. See? Half love, half disdain. 3 stars.

The first reviewer got this exactly right. This is a heavy, solid tool, with great adjustments (height has ball detent). Don't expect to be able to make this work from the instructions. They're not much help. e.g. Instructions referred to index mark on adapter that wasn't there.

Steep learning curve is right. I t took me several months, working sporadically to get this thing to work. If it hadn't been for a photo of a sear mounted on it I found online, I might have still been trying to figure it out. Someone needs to make a video of how to use this great tool.

That being said, this tool does a perfect job. Well worth the money.

This jig does it all and if it does not get the Series I and then you have no excuse. Adapters are very affordable and pay for themselves the first job and the just do not wear out. Completely adjustable but will hold absolute zero when removing the hammer or sear and then returning it. Great instructions included.

A must have for any gunsmith or serious hobby smith.

The Pro's:

The Con's
1. The instructions are terrible

2. There is no list of what guns the universl jig works on. The only tell you a 10/22 and Ruger single action.

3. After going crosseyed trying to figure out how to use the fixture and jig, I emailed Power Custom for help. It's been a week and still no response.

I did eventually figure the jig out, but the instructions were almost no help and I couldn't find a picture of an assembled fixture/jig on the internet anywhere. A color picture would have helped more than anything else. The jig does work, but has a really steep learning curve. I'm really pleased with my second 10/22 trigger and am ready to try my AR-15 next. I wish Power Custom would answer my email about what all guns this universal fixture works with...

The bottom line is: If you're not really mechanically inclined, don't buy this. Also, don't expect the manufacturer to support you after the sale. Also, know that you have to use the special stones that are only for the Series II fixture. No other stones will work, though another vendor sells a steel/sandpaper kit that might work OK. Other than those negatives, it's a well made, well designed product that does exactly what it's supposed to do.

This fixture is great if you have several (a dozen or more) triggers that need stoning, therefore its best for the gunsmith and not the casual hobbist. It does take some getting used to, but the instructions are clear, and practice improves proffiency. Specifically, this fixture allows for a even flat stone with jigs that keep stones and parts in the same position, eliminating goofy angles or grinds. It does have plenty of adjustments available for variation of parts, and the triggers and sears fit tightly on the jig pins. The eight ways to Sunday that the fixture can be adjusted, again is it's own worst enemy, but after many jobs, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Summay: Great, but it has a steep learning curve, so patience is necessary at first.
