Fast, Easy Mag Changes In High Stress Situations

Replacement floorplate brings the speed and controllability of the original Magpul Ranger Floorplate to both 20- and 30-round PMAGs for fast, secure tactical magazine changes. Smoothly contoured, easy-to-grasp finger loop and grooved thumb dimple aid in positive extraction from tight mag pouches and help you hang onto the empty magazine with just a finger after a tactical reload. Made from tough, reinforced polymer overmolded with soft, non-slip synthetic rubber that also cushions the magazine from impact if dropped on a hard surface. Includes molded-in para-cord hole for custom loop configurations. Easy, drop-in installation: remove the PMAG’s factory floorplate as you do for cleaning, and replace it with the Ranger Floorplate. Sold in 3-paks and available in Black. Mag212 fits original and M2 PMAG, NOT GEN 3 556 PMAGS.

Not for .300 Blk Mags. (9.9.2017)

These work great for Gen 2 5.56 mags, but they DO NOT fit on the .300 BLK mags that I bought them for!

Better than the original (11.9.2009)

I used the original Magpul Ranger plates and they worked fine, just a bit of a pain to install. The new ones are more durable and so easy you can do it blindfolded.

PMAG Ranger plates (2.10.2009)

The Magpul PMAG Ranger plates are a quick an effective solution for not only protecting your mags but also making them more effective. The angle on the bottom of the Ranger plate puts you at nearly the perfect angle for shooting while proned out on the ground. The loop also increases speed of mag exchanges and makes ripping the mag much smoother. I use them on all of my mags!

With this on a mag that extends below the grip, you almost don't need a bipod or monopod for support-- works great for that reason alone.

These fit perfectly on the Gen 3 magazines. It actually takes 5 seconds to remove floor plate and install the Ranger plate (unless you let the spring escape). My shooting days with the M16 goes back to the late 1960's and continue thru the present. The MagPul Gen3 with Ranger plate is great.

Correction (13.7.2016)

This is the correct floor plate for the Gen 2 PMAG and won't fit on the Gen 3 Magazine. (Model # MAG561 is the Gen 3 PMAG plate.) It takes all of 5 seconds (unless you let the spring escape) to remove the original plate and install this one. In addition to all the speed elements, this allows for effortless removal of magazines from tightly packed pouches of all types. It is well worth it to equip all your Gen 2 PMAGs with this plate.

Awesome Product (24.9.2017)

These Ranger Floorplates make it easy to grab and change magazines if you're wearing body armor or a plate carrier. Perfect fit and very functional!

DO NOT WORK W/10 RD PMAGS (3.3.2018)

Itâs a good solid product, but I bought these for some 10 round hunting mags and they donât fit. They work just fine on my 30 and 40 round mags. The way the 10 rounders are molded at the rail for the base plate doesnât line up with the Rangers and the way theyâre molded at the rail. I didnât see anywhere clearly stating they would not work with 10 round Pmags, and these are the 3rd Gen mags too. If I missed it, my fault, but it is certainly not clearly stated anywhere obvious. For that reason this product gets 4/5 stars. If youâre buying them for bigger mags, you should consider this a 5/5.

Disappointed and considering returning them as they arenât working out for what I wanted them for, but Iâll probably just put them on some 40 round mags.
